  • Notes
    • STATUS: Studio.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Established by J.D. Hall as the Vancouver branch of Hall and Lowe, this studio was sold to David Wadds. As Hall was active in sports circles, a great number of group portraits of various sports teams were taken in his studio. Hall also engaged in outdoors work in Nov 1887 it was reported that
Mr. Hall, of the Vancouver Photographic Gallery, secured some very fine views of the C.P.R. wharf while the S.S. Parthia was here. One of them shows the steamers Parthia, Princess Louise, Premier and George W. Elder, all unloading at the wharf, which presents a busy scene. The photograph itself is very clear and distinct, and is a credit to Mr. Hall's artistic ability.
